Christian disciples are called to be good stewards. In the broadest terms, stewardship means recognizing all of the gifts that God has given us and bringing those gifts to bear in our family, our community, our workplace, and in the Church so as to prepare the way for God's Reign of justice and peace.
The spirit of stewardship is summed up when Jesus says to his disciples: "Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give." (Mt 10:8) We urge you to reflect prayerfully upon how God is calling you to use your gifts to contribute to the vitality of St. Scholastica Parish.

Donations to Parish Share support the Diocese of Pittsburgh—covering a six county area of southwestern Pennsylvania. The money raised helps pay for the day in and day out needs of the entire diocese in areas such as central administration, the Seminary, the Marriage Tribunal, chaplaincies, and retirement support for priests. Each parish is assessed 17.6% of its income. Any amount donated above our parish assessment stays in the parish and is not taxed by the Diocese.
